Justin Klarenbeck

After completing UCLA film school Justin worked as camera assistant for the legendary Roger Corman who had given James Cameron and Martin Scorcese their breaks.  He really earned his stripes Dream Quest where there were oscars for “The Abyss” and “Total Recall”.  He moved up the ranks to become a visual FX supervisor on Television Shows, Commercials and such films as “Nightmare on Elm St.”, “House”, “Phantasm”, and “Christmas Vacation”.

It was then that he turned his hand to directing commercials.  He soon became known for the way he blended seamless visual effects with classic film making techniques and a sense of humor.  In many of his commercials you forget there are effects as you are drawn in by the storytelling.

He’s worked around the world with the best known agencies on brands such as AT&T, Ford, Honda, Sony, Nissan, Mercedes, Carlsberg, Orbit Gum, Kellogg’s,  EA Games and VIsa.  His work has won awards at Cannes, New York International Film Festival, and The Bessies.  In recent years Justin has started to work with agencies to develop the creative prior to client presentation.  Such was the case with the Hyundai Global campaign (which he did for 3 years) and H&R bloc.

Justin’s strong knowledge of production and post along with years of advertising experience enable him to deliver high level spots under diverse conditions around the world.
